Djorde Setting Handbook release!

This core setting book describes Djorde, a gilded age location where the recent discovery of arcane magic has ended the age of technology, formerly ruled by the steam engine, firearms, and electricity. As the first generations of arcanists supplant electric lights with spells of continual flame, the world trembles between those who cling to the old ways and those who embrace the new.
Self-made people are the movers and shakers of the modern day, despite those who still cling to archaic titles such as nobles or queens. Saints send divine blessings over telegram wires; explorers roam beyond the world to seek extraplanar wilderness; adventurers wield guns and magic to wrest secrets from a lost age; and mercenaries brave the afterlife to bring souls back from death. Djorde balances at a precipice, and the right push might send it tumbling in any number of directions.
As a flexible, system-agnostic setting, Djorde is designed to work with most fantasy-based RPG systems. It is also fully compatible with the STRONG RPG system, also published by us. Inside this 215-page book, you’ll discover:
- The world, history, and culture of Djorde and other continents in the setting, including an overview of the 18 major regions each of the continent of Djorde, each to be later released in a regional setting book
- Reimagined fantasy ancestries, including dwarves, elves, gnomes, halflings, humans, and orcs
- Reimagined classes, including the addition of numenic magic, the power of the new gods
- A new alignment system based on motivations and approaches rather than “good” and “evil”
- A unique afterlife, with adventures just as fulfilling as those in the mortal world
- Detailed descriptions of beings of power such as the new gods, saints, and devas, including Capressa, the saint of politics who travels the continent wielding social power; Father Shrift, the god of infinite forgiveness without requiring personal growth; and Neren, deva of flux, who grants primal power to those who travel between places
- Four international organizations and four international religions, including the Sowers, who promote druidic agriculture across the continent; the Manicepts, who follow the new gods that recently appeared as stars in the sky; the Praetheists, who simultaneously follow many saints and religions; and the Sangrum, who drink the blood of saints to gain spiritual insight.
- Eight new monsters, including asagim, gargoyle-like angels who bleed blinding blood; ghillies, mobile fungi who prolificly reproduce; and inklings, aberrant monsters who can disguise themselves as ink on a page.
- A dozen magic items, suitable for campaigns in the Djorde setting
- Five detailed sparks of adventure that can form the basis for campaigns in Djorde
- A gazette on the nation of Furtows, located right at the intersection between arcane magic and technology
- A full adventure set in Djorde, including stats for the STRONG RPG
In addition, you’ll also receive the following digital assets:
- 60 blank maps, suitable for running Sanctified City dungeons
- Large versions of all the setting maps from the book
- 59 digital tokens for NPCs and ancestries mentioned in the book
We hope you enjoy this slice of our world!
