Atlazian Ruins and Trader’s Way release!

Imagine a region experiencing a “gold rush” for arcane magic – a new and exciting place where those of ambition and skill can truly make their mark on the world. This regional setting book describes such a place: the Atlazian Ruins and Trader’s Way, regions located in Djorde, a tabletop RPG setting. As a flexible, system-agnostic setting, this region of Djorde is designed to work with most fantasy-based RPG systems, including 5e, PF2e, and STRONG RPG.

Inside this 359-page book, you’ll discover:

  • Descriptions of eight major nations, including Bint, a society of arcane-experimenting goblins; Cultus, a place where kobolds worship monarch dragons; Minae, whose gnomish inhabitants steal from the pantries of high giants; and Reach, the epicenter of arcane innovation and experimentation
  • Eight unique organizations, including the Eye of the Huntress, a magical bounty-hunting guild; the Exians, who jealously guard arcane dust to prevent it from running out; the Parliament, a consolidated crime syndicate; and the Treasure Investors, who sponsor adventurers but at a high cost
  • Eight unique religions, including Arcane Ascensionism, which believes that arcane magic is a path towards godhood; the Decree, a ritualistic religion of assassins who worship the new gods; the Givers, who honor sea serpents by throwing treasure into the sea; and Kismet, who follow the concept of luck
  • Eight new monsters, including gaki, whose curse reflects damage back on their enemies; hunter dragons, whose blinding speed is their strongest asset; monarch dragons, whose scales are studded with gems; and painted dragons, who can change their elemental affinity on a whim
  • New forms of magic, such as Invoking and Pact Magic, including adapted rules for STRONG RPG
  • The history and culture of the region, including ancestries common in the region, holidays, shops, taverns, and types of ruins

Following are more detailed descriptions of both regions described in this book:

Atlazian Ruins: In the shadow of the Altus Cliffs, the remains of an ancient civilization known as the Old Atlas Empire, or the Atlazians, can be found. Though long believed to be empty of anything of value, adventurers have recently discovered ruins with hidden chambers and arcane magical artifacts. In the modern day, arcanists reduce the Atlazian artifacts to dust, supporting the magical economy of the entire continent of Djorde. Even though many of the nations in the region were once backwater towns in the middle of vast wilderness, their settlements are now some of the most important in Djorde.

Trader’s Way: Merchants have traveled this old path for over a hundred years, connecting eastern, central, southern, and northern Djorde. Taking advantage of the arcane renaissance, most Atlazian dust, the substance that powers arcane magic, is distributed throughout the continent by Trader’s Way. In the present day, bandits stalk the eastern reaches of Trader’s Way, making it all but useless for any but the bravest of travelers. Meanwhile, the Short Tunnels, which allow fast travel to northern Djorde, are contested by multiple nations. To the north, high atop the Dragon Heights, numerous monarch dragons make their home, including the dragon saint Zazel.

We hope you enjoy this slice of our world!
